Open concept floorplans have become very popular over the years. There are several different reasons having this type of layout for your home may be appealing to you and your family.
One of the major appeals of the open concept floorplan, is that it’s perfect for entertaining. It makes it possible to be able to prepare a meal or make drinks, while socializing with your guests. This custom home we built in Champaign, even incorporates a formal dining area while still being open to the living room/kitchen.
Having a large kitchen island helps to define the kitchen as it’s own space and also makes for a great place to put food, drinks, party décor, and all of those other essentials for hosting.
Another perk of having an open living area is all of the natural light. Having a good amount of natural light can make your living space appear larger and brighter.
