Love a good book? Create a reading Nook!

It’s cold outside and some of us are still choosing to stay at home on the weekends due to the pandemic. This creates the perfect opportunity to pick up a book and get cozy. It’s nice to have a dedicated space to reading, or a reading ‘nook’. My reading nook is simple: a recliner in the corner of my living room and a table for my cup of coffee or tea. However, there are many different ways to create a cozy little space for reading!
First, you’ll want to find a space that is quiet and sort of isolated away from the main gathering areas of your home. A place where you can relax, concentrate, and focus.
Next, you’ll want to find some comfy seating. This can be a cozy chair, bean bag, a bench, a pile of fluffy pillows on the floor, or a combination of different seating as seen in the photo below.

Adequate lighting will be important unless you have an E-reader or tablet. I have an E-reader but I still prefer to have some dimmed lighting. You can install a fixture, or simply use a lamp you may already have around the house.

Add a little end table, a cup of coffee or tea, and you will have yourself the ultimate space where you can relax and unwind.
